There’s nothing I love more than an indulgent, beautifully packaged high-end beauty product, however with a wedding to pay for my budget has dramatically decrease over the last couple of months. Miniature gift sets are a great way to try bestselling products at a fraction of the price of their full sized counterparts such as the Smashbox Try It Kit and Benefit B.right Skincare Set. As a newbie to the bareMinerals range I bought ‘Greatest Performers’, an introductory gift set containing miniature versions of 6 best selling customer favourites including; Lash Domination, Mineral Veil, Beauty Blush, Prime Time, READY 2.0 eyeshadow duo in Debutante & Waltz and Marvelous Moxie lip gloss. Today I’ll be looking at two of these lovely products the Mineral Veil and Blusher.
The Original Mineral Veil Finishing Powder is a practically weightless translucent powder, that when dusted lightly over skin helps to absorb oils, minimize lines and give a ‘airbrushed’ flawless finish to your look. I didn’t notice any different in the appearance of my fine lines but it does make for a miraculous setting product. It kept my makeup in place and banished any unsightly shine throughout the day. It subtly softened my look giving a healthy and natural glow to my skin. It wasn’t drying or ‘cakey’ and left my skin feeling soft and smooth. The bareMinerals Mineral Veil (£20/9g) also comes in ‘Illuminating’, ‘Tinted’ and ‘Hydrating’ versions too.
The bareMinerals Blush in Beauty uses a ‘healthy mix’ of pure minerals to keep skin free from fillers, preservatives and build up. I love this little pot! The lightweight blush gives a beautiful sweep of rosy colour which immediately brightens and compliments my look. The blush gave a natural but vibrant pop of colour that really complimented my skin tone. The powder is easy to apply and long lasting, and is the perfect way to create a radiant glow this winter. The blush is highly pigmented so a little goes a long way. This is a product I’ll definitely be repurchasing. The bareMinerals Blush (£19/0.85g) is available in 20 stunning shades.
Two lovely products, although my favourite is the blush. The Mineral Veil gave a beautiful finish and the blush has an almost powder-to-cream effect on the skin. It also comes in beautiful and complimentary shades to suit all skin tones. I used the Real Techniques Powder Brush (£10.99) and Blush Brush (£9.99) to apply both products.
