Last weekend I was lucky enough to receive this beautiful 5-in-1 Baked Eyeshadow compact in Pure and Innocent* by the lovely people at Makeup Revolution. It’s no secret that I adore this company, I’ve made that pretty clear in my previous reviews, which include; the Romantic Smoked eyeshadow palette, Conceal and Cover palette in light/medium and Ultra Blush & Contour palette in Sugar and Spice. Makeup Revolution has created a range of affordable, high quality, innovative, cruelty free cosmetics that can easily stand along side it’s high-end competitors and challenge people’s perception of what a ‘budget’ beauty brand can achieve.
The baked eyeshadow compacts are available in 5 colour combinations which include; Beyond Eden (greens & bronze), Electric Dreams (purples), Bang Bang (grey & silvers) and Chocolate Deluxe (pinks & browns). The Pure & Innocent compact features 5 incredibly silky, baked to perfection eyeshadows in a selection of bronze, golds & pinks. The shadows are richly pigmented and glide on easily with minimal fallout. The eyeshadows are very easy to work with as they can be built up to give your desired colour and a wet brush can be used for an even more intense look. All five beautiful, shimmering shades blend easily with my Real Techniques Blending Brush and compliment each other perfectly.
I used a primer (Prime Time by bareMinerals) as I always do before applying my makeup and these baked eyeshadows lasted all day with no creasing and minimal fading, which is amazing considering the price! I have to admit I initially overlooked these compacts as I always find myself drawn to Makeup Revolution’s collection of palettes (especially if they’re limited edition) but the Pure & Innocent compact is so highly pigmented, buildable and long wearing it’s completely won me over!
The Makeup Revolution – Pure & Innocent 5-in-1 Baked Eyeshadow compact retails for just £2.50 and is available here.
