KIKO MILANO was established in 1997 but it’s only until recently I discovered the brand’s collection. I received their Long Lasting Shadow Stick in a Latest in Beauty box a few months back and was blown away by it’s quality. The pigmentation was out of this world, the sleek black matte packaging was sophisticated and the formula was silky, crease-proof and easy to apply. I was convinced that KIKO was a high-end brand and that the eyeshadow stick retailed for over double it’s actual price. KIKO takes ‘drugstore’ makeup to a whole different level.
The KIKO Velvet Touch Creamy Stick Blush in 04 Hot Pink is a daring, vivid shade. When it comes to blushes I usually stick to dusky pink and peach shades, but I was feeling a little daring so I decided to give this beauty a go. I love how convenient the stick applicator is and that the formula is so creamy it can be gently blended over my cheeks using just my fingertips. I can pop this into my handbag and apply throughout the day with minimal fuss or effort.
As you can see below, this shade is extremely buildable depending on what look you want to achieve. It can be used to create a dramatic, high impact look or blended out to give a subtle healthy glow. It’s soft texture melts on to the skin and applies evenly, giving an almost cream-to-powder effect on the cheeks. The blush is also hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic (formulated to avoid clogging pores) and available in different eight shades.
KIKO is a brand that has caught the attention of many over the last few years and is growing from strength to strength with every innovative product that they release. Recently, they released two limited edition collections: Rebel Romantic and Midnight Siren. Rebel Romantic features elegant metallic shades in some seriously beautiful rose gold packaging and Midnight Siren is inspired by the “dark profile of the ocean of the night” and features a stunning mix of petroleum blues, emerald greens and opalescent silver.
As for the Velvet Touch Creamy Stick Blush I love it’s versatility. It can be used to create a whole range of looks, and it’s so easy to apply and play around with. It’s affordable, yet it can sit quite comfortably next to my MAC cosmetics due to it’s understated packaging and high-quality formula. KIKO also have a collection of Soft Touch Powder Blushes and Baked Colour Veil Blushes as well as an extensive collection of lip, eye and face products and a skincare range which includes serums, face masks and treatments.
The KIKO MILANO Velvet Touch Creamy Stick Blush retails for £7.90.
