The November box includes 15 products including festive chutneys, pickles and sweet treats, all perfect for stocking up your larder this Winter. Big names include Hartley’s, Branston, Butterkist and Ryvita. This month’s Db’s Discoveries are Tuckey’s Proper Digestive Biscuits, Jim Jams Hazelnut Spread and Rekorderlig Dry Apple Cider.
Jim Jams Hazelnut Chocolate Spread
Jims Jams specialise in healthy, wholesome and natural food spreads and preserves suitable for the whole family. They don’t add any sugar to their chocolate spreads so they are low in calories (only 35 a serving) and kinder to teeth. The hazelnut spread is gluten free, diabetic friendly and contains reduced fat cocoa.
Divine Dark Chocolate with Raspberries
All products from Divine are Fairtrade, natural, suitable for vegetarians and free from palm oil. The combination of dark, seductively rich 70% chocolate and tart raspberries work perfectly together to create a deliciously tempting treat, the perfect stocking filler this Christmas.
Butterkist Salted Caramel & Sweet and Salted Popcorn
Butterkist’s limited edition salted caramel popcorn is the perfect combination of savoury and sweet. The new ‘Discoveries’ range also includes Pulled Pork and Sweet Chilli & Zesty Lime. Both the products fro the UK’s most loved popcorn brand are availble now at ASDA, Sainsbury, Tesco and Morrisons. Follow Butterkist on Twitter at @ButterkistUK for competition and giveaways.
Hartley’s Black Cherry & Strawberry Glitter Jelly
Hartley’s glitter jelly brings extra sparkle to your Christmas desserts this year. Although a bit of a shimmery novelty to begin with, the edible glitter gives a slightly gritty texture that I wasn’t a fan of. The black cherry jelly, on the other hand, is juicy, fruity and incredibly refreshing, and is definitely my favourite of the two.
Branston Orchard Fruit Chutney
Perfect with Christmas leftovers, this indulgent fruity chutney is packed with bramble apples, sultanas, orange zest and spices to create a unique festive flavour. Other varieties include Mediterranean Tomato and Caramelised Onion.
Bourne & Wallis British Pickled Onions
Using naturally grown ingredients produced in Cambridgeshire, the Bourne & Wallis range of traditional pickles is rooted in the “Victorian pursuit of preserving”. The sweet silverskin pickled onions are crunchy, zingy and delicious enough to be eaten straight out of the jar or accompanying a ploughman’s lunch alongside your trusty Branston chutney.
Ryvita Cheddar & Cracked Black Pepper Thins and Green & Black Olive Crackers
I don’t know about you, but at this time of year I can’t resist putting on some comfy socks, getting all cosy on the couch, popping on a Christmas film and tucking into a platter of nibbles. I’m a cheese plate kind of girl myself (the smellier the better!) and Ross loves digging into cold meats and dips. These two boxes of Ryvita thins & crackers are perfect to go with our festive munchies this year. Although I prefer the flatbreads to the bitterness of the olive crackers, both are extremely moreish and were gobbled up in mere minutes in front of the TV last night.
Tuckey’s Proper Digestives
Tuckey’s have been making old-school favourite snacks such as these ‘proper’ digestives for over 30 years. These digestives are inspired by the original 1950’s recipe, using traditional ingredients and methods. These digestives are good old-fashioned, wholesome comfort food, perfect for having with a cuppa.
Nim’s Pineapple & Mango Fruit Crisps
Made in the UK, these multi award winning fruit crisps are high in fibre and vitamin C. Every pack is free from preservatives, additives and added sugar. Fruit is simply sliced and air dried to retain as much goodness and flavour as possible, plus they contain 1 of your 5 a day!
Rekorderlig Dry Apple Cider
Rekorderlig’s latest creation is crisp, refreshing and packed full of flavour. Their strawberry & lime and mango & raspberry varieties are two of my favourite ciders and this is a welcome addition to the family. Enjoy over ice for the perfect after-work treat.
Bailey’s Original Irish Cream
A bit of a Christmas classic, this drink needs no introduction. Creamy, indulgent and luxurious; Bailey’s always reminds me of this time of year, there’s something so festive about every rich and comforting sip. Their new Chocolate Luxe edition combines the classic liqueur with real Belgium chocolate and is definitely worth keeping an eye out for this Christmas.
Belvita Breakfast Soft Bakes
The Belvita Soft Bakes (available in red berries, golden grain & chocolate chip) are a yummy, satisfying and fruity way to start your day. Ideal for when you’re in a hurry these individually wrapped bars can be thrown into your handbag and enjoyed at a moments notice, so you can have a nutritious and tasty breakfast on the go. Each one of the 5 bars is made with five wholegrains and are a great source of fibre, magnesium and iron.
Teisseire Vanilla & Caramel Gourmet Drops
And finally, we have my two favourite products in the November box. These caramel and vanilla flavoured syrups transform any hot drink (particularly amazing in a latte or hot chocolate) and enable you to create barista style, specialist drinks in your own kitchen. These handy packs are available in Waitrose for only £2.79 each.
I think you’ll agree that this month’s box is pretty spectacular! I am delighted to offer my readers a whopping £7.00 discount off your first box with the promotional code: 2RS8F.
