Did you catch last week’s post about my visit to the Kiko Milano Glasgow store and my mini haul? If not, it’s available here for a quick catch up. During my visit I bought two of Kiko’s Smart Lipsticks in 927 Intense Rose and 910 Baby Pink (£3.90 each), the Blending Wave Multicolour Blush from their Limited edition ‘The Artist’ collection in Creative Peach (£10.90) and two eyeshadows in shades 118 Pearly Beige Silk and 124 Pearly Dark Dove Grey (£2.90 each).
With this being my first purchase of the Kiko eyeshadows I stuck to two rather safe, and dare I say it boring, shades. Yes, I know they are not exactly the most trendsetting colours but they are the type of shades I find myself reaching for almost every day, plus you really can’t go wrong with adding a few more versatile neutrals to your collection.
At only £2.90 each I was really impressed with the pigmentation of both shades. Unlike their previous individual pans that can be de-potted into an empty clic system palette, these shadows are packaged individually. They blend perfectly with my Look Good Feel Better Angled Blending Brush and the formula is soft, buttery and applies effortlessly. The pearl finish is not shimmery but more of a satin effect on the eye. I love to apply Dark Dove all over my lid (which is very similar to my MAC Satin Taupe) and then use Beige Silk to highlight the inner corner and then blend together to create a neutral, slightly smokey everyday look.
I am so happy with my two choices and I can’t wait to try out more of the 81 affordable shades available. Have you tried any eyeshadows from Kiko’s collection?
