Most of my money is spent on either makeup or skincare, and my hair gets terribly neglected. Every day I spend hours caking my face in makeup, precisely filling my eyebrows and lining my lip to perfection but when it comes to my hair I simply douse it in dry shampoo, shove it into a messy bun and forget about it. Instead of picking up a few of the new L’Oreal Infallible Eye Paints which, let’s face it; I really didn’t need, I treated myself to some new hair products instead. I bought the entire Honey Treasures Ultimate Blends from Garnier which includes a shampoo (£3/400ml), conditioner (£3/400ml), serum (£4.99/50ml) and balm (£4.99/300ml), which were all on offer at Boots.
Pregnancy left my hair very damaged and weak, as does constantly dying it but those pesky grey hairs won’t give it a rest and I’m far too young (right?) to embrace them. Also, Penny takes great delight in constantly ripping out handfuls whenever she gets the chance. Garnier’s Ultimate Blends collection consists of another ten ranges that target different areas and hair types; Delicate Oats, Mythic Olive, Coconut Oil & Cocoa Butter, Argan Oils & Cranberry, Maple Sap & Caster Oil, Argan & Camilla Oils, Vanilla Milk & Papaya, Green Tea & Revitalising Plants, Camomile & Acacia Honey and Avocado & Shea Butter – phew! The Honey Treasures collection is designed to restore strength and targets damaged hair prone to breakage.
Each product in the range contains a blend of honey, propolis extract and royal jelly, so obviously smells heavenly. The Ultimate Blends Collection prides itself on using 100% recyclable packaging and not using any parabens in their formulas, I’m most looking forward to putting their intensive 1 minute Strength Restore Balm to the test as well as their serum which claims to be non-greasy and lightweight. I’ll keep you posted and let you know my thoughts soon…
