A few months ago myMallBox, a packaging forwarding company that helps ship American products to international users, got in touch to collaborate. myMallBox helps shoppers to get access to products that they wouldn’t normally be able to, or to help save on costs when companies try to charge outrageous amounts just to get their products shipped to their country. You can also take advantage of discounts and promotional codes and offers that are currently only available to US citizens.
Once you sign up to myMallBox you receive a free US address with your own unique suite number. After seeing swatches of the new ColourPop Pressed Eyeshadows over on Kathleen Lights YouTube channel and the swatches of the Juvia’s Place palette over at NikkieTutorials, I knew exactly what I’d be picking up! All I had to do was enter my myMallBox address as the shipping address and wait for them to arrive at their warehouse in Delaware. I even used Nikkie’s affiliate code to save a few dollars!
Once both my deliveries arrived, I chose to have them consolidated into one package to save on shipping costs. Once they’d been repackaged I was given several delivery options. I went for the USPS Tracking option for around $22 dollars including custom fees. Within three weeks my two beautiful palettes had arrived safely, and they were definitely worth the wait!
The Nubian eyeshadow palette features a range of beautiful neutrals with slightly more warmer coppery tones than others in my collection. They are highly pigmented (the shimmers have a dazzling foiled appearance) and their buttery soft texture allows them to blend flawlessly. The swatches speak for themselves. I do wish the darker mattes were a bit less patchy, however, overall I am blown away with the almost metallic, intense finish of the shimmers. Considering the quality of these eyeshadows this palette is incredibly affordable, retailing at only $25.
ColourPop offer free international shipping but only if the order is over $50. I had already made an order recently and just wanted to test the formula of their new pressed shadows, so I found a $5 off discount code online and added the Hi-Maintenance palette to my basket.
Individual pans retail for $5 dollars each, but this mini palette is only $18. Hi-Maintenance includes the shades – Cute Alert (matte deep burgundy), Get Out (matte cool cranberry), High Strung (a metallic rosy gold) and Just in Time (satin soft gold). I love how these four shades can be used to create a soft, romantic look.
I am so impressed with how vibrant and easy to work with these shades are. I can definitely see myself abandoning Makeup Geek and filling the rest of my Z Palette with a huge haul of this range.
The most difficult thing about this entire process was choosing what US beauty products to try first. I still have online baskets floating around filled with goodies from Sephora, Physicians Formula and Wet n Wild, but to be completely honest, I’m over the moon with these two purchases and the service I received from myMallBox (AF).
Is there any US beauty brands or products you would like to try?
Have you ever used a packaging forwarding company before?
