When my hubby asked me what I wanted for my birthday I didn’t even hesitate. The limited edition Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look Palette has been on my wishlist ever since it was re-released. Available in either ‘Natural Beauty’ or ‘Seductive Beauty’ the travel-friendly all-in-one palette contains bronzer, highlighter, 3 eyeshadows (Brighten, Enhance & Smoke) and two blushes (Sweep & Pop) in 7 exclusive shades.
The slim palette is large enough to be held comfortably in one hand and is packaged in CT’s signature burgundy and rose gold colours with a secure fastening, glossy finish and full-sized mirror. The shades contained in this travel palette are perfect for pale skin tones and create a very natural-looking but still very chic everyday look.
I use every single shade in this stunning palette. It’s so simple to use, you really can create a very pretty fresh-faced look in just 5 minutes as advertised. It contains three basic but beautiful eyeshadows; one very light all over base shade, a champagne shimmer and a matte brown. Even a beginner can’t go wrong with this combination. They blend seamlessly to create a universally flattering natural-looking smokey eye in seconds.
I tend to use a very large powder blush for my bronzer so I find it a little tricky to dip into this one without disturbing the blush. The bronzer is a very pale matte brown in CT’s best-selling Filmstar Bronze & Glow formula that gives the skin a subtle warmth and healthy glow to the skin. The two blushes include one that gives a lovely English rose flush of colour whilst the other gives a pretty pop of pink to the apples of the cheeks. Finally, the highlight gives a delicate pale gold glow wherever you chose to apply, which illuminates the face and finishes your 5-minute look perfectly.
I love this palette; it goes with me everywhere. The powders are buttery soft and so easy to apply. The palette doesn’t come with any brushes, but that doesn’t bother me as I prefer more product than wasting space with an applicator I’ll probably never use. I think this is the most expensive palette in my collection, but hands down the most used. The shades aren’t anything groundbreaking but are effortlessly chic and beautiful once applied.
The Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette in Natural Beauty is an online exclusive and retails for £49 (available here).
