My maternity leave is coming to an end soon *sob* so I’ve been spending my time creating a baby memory book for Penny with the help from Printiki. I picked up this beautiful Peter Rabbit scrapbook at Paperchase, a mountain of washi and double-sided tape from Amazon and downloaded all my photos straight from Instagram and Facebook through Printiki. I had them printed out in this retro polaroid style and delivered straight to my door – the whole process was so simple and stress-free. I never get around to printing out my photos, so it was fun looking back at all the forgotten snaps I had taken months ago when Penny was a tiny newborn.
As well as photos, I also added notes and postcards with hidden messages just for Penny when she is old enough to read, her first scan photo, Christmas cards, lullabies, hospital memorabilia, family quotes and funny stories. The book starts before she was even born with photos of my baby shower and hospital room where I sat for two days waiting patiently for her to arrive, all the way to her first tooth and first visit to the swimming pool. I wanted to create something that was really fun and colourful, whilst being crammed full of all her wonderful achievements. I really hope she enjoys reading this once she’s a stroppy teenager who’s too cool for all my kisses and huggles. I am one proud mama already and if this book captures even a tiny fraction of how much I love her, it was worth all the time in the world.
Thank you to Printiki for helping me to print out all our wonderful memories.
