50 Pinterest Accounts You Should Be Following

Looking for some inspiration? A few years ago browsing Pinterest was just a little hobby, the year I got married it became an obsession and now, it’s a fun and effective way to generate blog traffic and my favourite place to escape to when I’m in need of little inspiration and creativity. I am also just a huge dork that loves to organise pretty pins into different categories; I find it oddly satisfying! Of all my social media channels Pinterest is the one with the most daily growth and I now have over 26K followers. I recently wrote an advice post about how to grow your following which can be found here, and of course, you can visit my account here for a nosey.

50 Pinterest Accounts You Should Be Following

My number one tip to grow your following? Follow the right accounts. If you don’t fill your feed with easy-to-pin, popular, high-quality images, you’re going to waste a lot of time searching for relevant pins. I simply went online and searched ‘Best Beauty/Craft/Decor/Travel Pinterest Accounts’ and chose my favourites. I also then took a browse at what accounts they follow too. I also tracked down the accounts of my favourite bloggers, stores and brands with similar interests (i.e. Sephora, MAC, Urban Decay and Cath Kidston). I use Pinterest analytics to keep track of my most popular boards and make sure I update them regularly. I get a lot of traffic from my Nails board so this is the one I focus on most of the time. Not sure who to follow? Here’s a rundown of my favourite accounts…

Most of the food boards I follow have one thing in common – cake. For sweet treats, pretty pastries and delicious doughnuts you can’t go wrong with Love and Olive Oil, Half Baked Harvest, The Sugar HitSomething Swanky, Pink Piccadilly Pastries, Minimalist Baker and Displaced Housewife.

I don’t follow a lot of travel accounts but This Girl Loves | Travel, The Travel Hack, Travel Weasels and Ordinary Traveler are enough to satisfy my wanderlust.

Obviously, when it comes to fashion everyone’s opinions and tastes are different and unique. My favourite accounts are from two fashion bloggers who couldn’t be more different but are both passionate about fashion and have flawless personal style – The Lovecat Inc and Lynsey Loves. I also follow Twigs & Honey, Alice + OliviaLove From Kat, Jessica Quirk | What I Wore, J’Adore Lexie Couture, eat/sleep/wear and Betsey Johnson.

Interior Design/Home Decor

Whether you love clean minimalist furniture, kitsch accessories or creative workspaces Emma Harris, Monica Beatrice Welburn, Anthropologie Europe, Alyson | Bash Studio and Homey Oh My will be sure to fulfil your dreams of becoming an interior decorator.
