Ever since I won the tiny yet adorable Tartlette Tease palette on Twitter almost a year ago, I have been head-over-heels in love with everything Tarte. Many of you may already know that I just can’t resist a cheeky Easy Pay deal on QVC and since my giveaway win I have also picked up their Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation, Tartlette 2 In Bloom Palette (a must have for any makeup junkie), Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in Seduce, Shape Tape Contouring Concealer & Quickie Blending Sponge and now this beautiful 7 piece Maneater Makeup Collection and bag.
The limited edition Maneater Makeup Collection contains an animal print foundation buffer brush, 2-in-1 Eyeshadow Brush, cosmetics bag and five full-size products including:
I originally bought this set for £43.96 (four payments of £10.99) plus £3.90 P&P, which I think you will agree is an amazing bargain considering the foundation alone retails for £30.
The palette has a little more fallout than all my other Tarte palettes but still contains the same buttery soft, high pigment formula I know and love. The palette contains a mix of liner, lid and crease eyeshadows and a versatile eye and cheek highlighter. These shades are what I use pretty much every day of my life so this palette has already seen a lot of action, I absolutely adore it. A combination of Meow and Passion create my perfect base shade and Hypnotic and Foxy, well they are two of the most beautifully intense shimmers I own.
I was relieved to see that the Lip Sculptor Lipstick (3.5g) and Lipgloss (2ml) in Kind was a lovely dusty rose pink that I will get a lot of use from. The duo can be used to sculpt and shape your lips’ appearance while giving them a revitalising and moisturising boost. The full coverage creamy lipstick and coordinating lipgloss go perfectly together to make lips look fuller and juicy.
The Maneater Voluptuous Mascara has a soft-flex brush and lightweight triple-black formula, it lifts and defines each lasts whilst giving volume and length. It contains jojoba to condition and strengthen and carnauba wax to ensure a smooth, clump-free consistency. The brush reminds me of They’re Real with its lethal plastic spikes that have a tendency to jab you in the eye if you’re as careless as I am. Maneater promises to give lashes 23x more volume and intense pigment that coats lashes from root to tip.
The Amazonian Clay Foundation has an incredibly thick, mouse-like formula that gives a satin-matte finish and full coverage. The brush is a kabuki-style buffer that I kind of love more than the foundation itself. It’s beautifully soft and very dense, so doesn’t absorb half the product. It’s a brilliant tool and one of the only foundation brushes I own that rivals the seamless coverage of my beauty blender, and also, how beautiful is the leopard print?
I was so impressed with this gift set. There’s not a product I don’t like and the shades are all so universally flattering. Did you mange to pick up the Maneater collection when it was available on QVC? What’s you favourite Tarte product?
