July Empties with Neal’s Yard Remedies, Caudalie & Antipodes

So this is my first ever empties post, which is strange because they are one of my favourite posts to read. First impression style posts definitely help you to quickly work out what new launches are out there, but it’s usually the in-depth reviews and empties posts that give you all the nitty gritty. Here’s a heads up, I would repurchase four of the products in today’s post in a heartbeat…

July Empties with Neal's Yard Remedies, Caudalie & Antipodes

First of all, let’s start with one of my all-time favourite products Soap & Glory’s The Righteous Butter. This tiny tub represents the many, many, many empty tubs I’ve gone through over the years thanks to the generous amount I often apply. This beautifully scented body butter is thick, luxurious and leaves my skin baby-bum soft whilst smelling phenomenal. I’ve always loved Soap & Glory’s signature scent and this body lotion leaves it lingering on my skin all day long.

I go through a lot of different skincare products but I’ve repurchased the Neal’s Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm time and time again. The balm contains wild rosehip oil (one of the richest sources of vitamins, essential fatty acids and antioxidants), geranium, starflower, hemp and rosemary oil and smells divine. I use this multi-purpose treatment as a cleanser and a mask depending on how long I have to pamper myself. It removes all traces of makeup and leaves my skin feeling clean, plump, soft and glowing. The longer you leave it on, the more glorious the results. Another treatment that leaves my skin looking it’s very best is the Antipodes Aura Manuka Honey Mask. It has a delicate fragrance of vanilla and mandarin and helps keep my skin clear but doesn’t completely strip it of moisture.

My final skincare item is the Caudalie Deep Cleansing Exfoliating Cream. This exfoliator is PACKED with natural micro particles which remove dead skin cells and give an incredibly deep clean, so deep that your skin will instantly feel smoother and cleaner from the very first try. Very little effort is needed in order for this product to be effective, gentle circular motions are all that is required to help this powerful exfoliator get to work. This is a must-have product for anyone with combination to oily skin as it really helps to clear pores and remove any excess oil, without making the skin feel tight or uncomfortable.

Finally, we have two products that I loved at the time but over the months I’ve found replacements for. The NYX Pore Filler Primer does exactly what it claim to: fill and blur those pores. However, I’ve recently been using two primers, The Ordinary’s High Spreadablitiy Primer and the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer, which also blurs my pores… and so much more. The texture of this primer also changed towards the end, it became like scrambled egg, which was definitely a turn-off. My final product is the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation. Don’t get me wrong, this is a beautiful foundation, I just slightly prefer the formula of my Charlotte Tilbury Light Glow which is the only reason I probably won’t be repurchasing this. It gives the skin a radiant luminosity, however, it’s just a little too sheer and dewy for my personal taste.
