The ColourPop No Filter Concealer ($6|4g) came back in stock at the same time as the beautiful ‘Yes, Please!’ Pressed Eyeshadow Palette, so, of course, I had to grab them both. The No Filter Concealer is available in 15 shades with 05 Fair being the lightest. The concealer is formulated with “soft blurring pigments” that give a matte ‘filter’ like appearance to the skin.
The first thing I noticed about the concealer is, considering 05 Fair is the lightest shade, it’s pretty dark and even slightly oxidises as soon as I apply it. The shade is the perfect match for my skin tone in terms of concealing blemishes, scaring and the discolouration around my nose, however, this shade isn’t light enough to brighten my under eye area with. Therefore, I find myself reaching for this to cover breakouts but I still need my Tarte Shape Tape to highlight and/or contour with.
The formula is thick and creamy and doesn’t feel like a drugstore product. It’s easy to blend and gives a natural-looking matte finish. In terms of comparing it to others in my collection, I would rank it just above my Collection Lasting Perfection. It’s a product that I will get a lot of use out of, but they need to seriously step up their game in terms of their shade range.
