I recently bought a few acrylic storage drawers which forced me to sit down and organise my makeup collection. During this long and tedious process, I rediscovered a few beauty favourites along the way. These products aren’t particularly ancient but for whatever reason have become overlooked and unloved.
The limited edition Tarte Maneater Palette was part of a QVC Easy Pay offer that I couldn’t resist. The bundle included the palette, Maneater Voluptuous Mascara, Maneater Eyeliner, Lip Sculptor Lipstick and Lipgloss and Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation all for just £43.96 plus £3.90 P&P (four payments of £10.99). The palette has a little more fallout than all my other Tarte palettes but still contains the same buttery soft, high pigment formula I know and love. The palette contains a mix of liner, lid and crease eyeshadows and a versatile eye and cheek highlighter.
When I was sorting out my highlighter drawer I came across these MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighters. They feel so hard to the touch which gives you the initial impression that they won’t be very pigmented, but you couldn’t be more wrong. Even though the formula is a little dry, the colour payoff is really impressive. They aren’t chunky or overly powdery and give the skin a delicate luminescent glow. For only £3 each you can’t go wrong.
Finally, we have one of my favourite lipsticks which I found hidden behind my dresser. Weirdo from the Urban Decay Vice Collection is a super creamy shade with warm blush pink tones. It melts onto my lips saturating them in colour from the very first swipe. I’m so happy to have this back in my life. The buttery, smooth texture is very comfortable and moisturising as the blend of aloe vera, jojoba and avocado oil condition and soften my lips.
As well as these products I’ve also been dipping into my Naked2 palette more than ever before. You can see the full swatches of all my Naked palettes here. It’s been one of my holy grail palettes for years now and one of the first ones I ever bought.
