Well, it’s official, the Christmas John Lewis advert has just dropped so the countdown to the big day has well and truly begun! What do you think of Moz the Monster? I think he’s cute but I definitely prefer Buster the Boxer and the Bear & the Hare, I even found the snowman one soppier and more adorable. The first time I saw them I balled my eyes out like a baby. I think M&S have won the battle of the Christmas adverts so far with Paddington but, let’s face it, there’s nothing more exciting than hearing those three little words: ‘Holidays are coming’. Today I have another bundle of stocking fillers to share with you. This time they are all ethically produced, contain natural ingredients and are cruelty-free.
Neal’s Yard Remedies is a skincare brand I don’t hear nearly enough people talking about. Their bestselling Wild Rose Beauty Balm is one of my all-time favourite skincare products. Even though the full-sized jar retails for £40 (definitely not a stocking filler if you ask me) there is also a mini gift set available containing a deluxe sample (15g) retailing for only £12.50 at their official site and at M&S. Also available this Christmas are the dreamy NYR Aromatic Bath Salt Gift Sets* (£15 | here) in Soothe, Relax and Recharge.
Soaking in a bath containing these salts is the perfect bedtime ritual this Winter and would go perfectly with the Feather & Down collection I reviewed last week here. The reusable bag is made from organic cotton and the scoop is made from FSC® certified wood, from sustainably managed woodlands. The purifying sea salt from the coast of Brittany, France contains a heavenly blend of lavender, marjoram and geranium essential oils. Believe me, you’ve never had a more relaxing bath in your life AND your bathroom has never smelled this good.
Fair Squared is an ethical and natural beauty brand that I wasn’t aware of before being very kindly sent their Fair Squared Christmas Gift Set* (£8.95 | here). The set contains four mini size products that are all certified natural by NaTrue, vegan and carry the fair trade logo. Fair Squared pay a Fair Trade premium for ingredients they source in countries of the ‘developing world’ so that producers, plantation workers and small-scale farmers and their families can improve their living and working conditions. They aim to deal fairly with everyone involved in the production of our products, this included ensuring humane working conditions, environmental and economic sustainability, no child labour and no animal testing.
Finally, we have two shower gels from vegan, organic, natural and cruelty-free brand ORGANii (£5.95 each | here). ORGANii believes that organic products should be fun, affordable and family-friendly and these two deliciously scented shower gels are just that. Both offer a fresh and uplifting boost perfect for giving you that extra burst of energy in the morning. They leave skin feeling cleansed, refreshed and super soft, are free from any chemical nasties and are available in Argan, Shea Butter, Liquorice, Aloe Vera & Bamboo. They are perfect for anyone who wants products that are kind to the skin as well as the environment.
If you’re shopping for a cruelty-free babe this Christmas I can’t recommend these little treats highly enough. I also suggest popping over to Pastel Elixir as they have a handmade collection of mugs, stickers and greeting cards decorated with beautiful ‘Cruelty-Free Bunny’ artwork that would make a truly unique and special gift this Christmas.
