Multi-masking is more than an Instagram trend, it’s an incredibly effective way to address all your skin’s changing needs. The Vichy Multi-Masking Expert Kit (£14) gives you the opportunity to have a mini customised treatment from the luxury of your home. The kit contains three mini tubs (15ml) of their best selling volcanic mineral masks so you can mix and match depending on your skin’s needs.
All three masks take only 5 minutes to get to work and are suitable for sensitive skin. There are a few illustrations on the side of the box but perhaps it would have been helpful to include a little booklet explaining all the different combinations possible. To be honest, though, nobody knows your skin better than you so just use them in a way you think your skin would benefit or simply use them individually – there are no rules here.
What’s in the box?
Illuminate: Double Glow Peel Mask
An exfoliating and illuminating face mask that contains AHA and volcanic rock to remove dead skin cells through a double peel action. This removes impurities and leaves skin brighter and more radiant.
Hydrate: Quenching Mineral Mask
Fresh gel mask that contains mineralising water and vitamin B3 to provide intense relief to dehydrated and uncomfortable skin. This mask is incredibly soothing and cooling. It feels like a fire blanket for your face, relieving your skin of any irritation and leaving it hydrated and plump.
Purify: Purifying Clay Mask
A Mineral-rich mask that contains white clay and aloe vera to unclog pores and purify the skin. This mattifying treatment soaks up any traces of dirt and grease without being ultra drying.
I find that using the Purifying Clay Mask on my nose, Quenching Mineral Mask on my cheeks and the Double Glow Peel Mask on my forehead and chin works best. I have combination skin so, for me, this little box is a dream come true. I love clay masks as I have oily, blemish-prone skin but I don’t want to dry out my cheeks, if anything, they need a boost of moisture to help counteract the effects of the cold weather we’ve been having, so this kit is perfect.
Yes, the tubs are very small but I like how they are individually packaged and perfect for travelling with. The Vichy Multi-Masking Expert Kit also serves as a great introduction to the collection if you want a taster rather than spend £15 on just one and find it’s not the right fit. I have to admit, it’s a strange sensation having a clay mask dry at the same time a gel mask is cooling under my eyes and a peel-off mask is tightening, but it’s the ultimate time saving pamper session that’s for sure.
