A Sunday Night Pamper Session & Chat

Sorry for the upcoming ramble, I guess I just needed a chat. Basically, balancing mama and blogger life is becoming overwhelming. I continuously feel like I should be doing something, whether it’s playing with Penny, nesting and organising for the new baba, preparing to move house, writing reviews, taking photos, scheduling, pinning or reaching out to brands, all whilst maintaining a constant social media presence. I’m trying to grow The Beautiful Bluebird with the hope that, one day, I’ll be able to become a full-time blogger with a successful business and flexible working hours. I know that’s not for everyone but it’s a little dream of mine I’m striving to make a reality. Do you have any advice for me? What are your long-term goals? I’d love to know. The second Penny’s head hits her pillow I go into work mode, that’s if I’m not at my actual job. When I’m feeling particularly frazzled, I try to take the opportunity to relax, even if it’s only for five minutes, in order to put my worries, responsibilities and fears into perspective.

A Sunday night pamper session is good for my soul, it really does help to set me up for the week. I’m not talking about hair washing, shaving, exfoliating, moisturising, tweezing and tweaking, I mean properly relaxing and giving my body a chance to reprogram. I love to just lie in the bath and concentrate on my breathing. My baby is most active when I’m taking a bath and I can actually see the water ripple as she wiggles away which is strangely hypnotic and weirdly soothing to watch. I also try to make the bathroom no phone area but I often break this rule. Social media can be rewarding and draining at the same time. I love to chat with like-minded bloggers who understand my frustrations and passions, however, I’m very aware that I need to keep things professional and positive to be attractive to brands. Biting your tongue on Twitter can be tricky. Anyone else find this?

Before I go I thought I’d mention a few no-fuss treatments that I’ve been loving recently. They are perfect for unwinding after a stressful day and require little to no effort whatsoever:

Amie Skincare Daybright Sheet Masks (£6.99) | Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Clay (£38) | Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque (£8.65) | Nuxe Baume Levres Reve De Miel Honey Lip Balm (£10) | Isla Apothecary Relax + Recover Bath Salts (£20) | Caudalie Overnight Detox Oil (£30) | NUXE Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil (£28)
