I first tried a deluxe sample of the original Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes over a year ago in her limited edition Legendary Party Eyes Christmas Bauble. I liked it but found that the wand was difficult to use with such a tiny handle attached, plus it was overloaded with product so the whole process was a little too on the messy side for me to part with £25 for the full-sized version. When I saw that there was a new and improved Volume 2 version of the mascara I immediately bought it in hopes that my original concerns had been resolved…
The Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Volume 2 in Black Vinyl is a reformulated version of her bestselling mascara. It makes some pretty bold claims including that it will increase the volume of your lashes by a huge 507% and increase lash thickness by 108% after just one application (103 women were tested over 7 days). I can confirm that the mascara is long-wearing and smudge-proof and also gives an intense jet black colour that defines and coat each last perfectly.
My only issue with this mascara is the amount of product on the brush. It’s far too much! It gets overloaded with mascara which can make application messy, a problem I was hoping would be rectified. This by no means ruins the end result, my lashes still look fabulous but it can be frustrating during application. When I’m in a rush I find myself wiping excess mascara off the brush onto the tube, even though I know this will eventually clog it up *slaps own hand*. You really need to take your time with Legendary Lashes Volume 2. One coat is definitely enough. Initially, you may think you have way too much mascara on and it will end up looking clumpy but be patient. Simply work it through and your lashes will end up looking phenomenal.
As you can see, the Legendary Lashes Volume 2 transforms my barely-there lashes into full beautiful fluttery Hollywood lashes. They also stay like this throughout the day without any drooping, flaking or smudging.
Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes Volume 2 Mascara retails for £23 and is available to purchase here.
