As much as I was initially excited by the reveal of a new Nip+Fab makeup display at my local Boots many moons ago, I very rarely found myself gravitating towards it. I wanted to try their liquid lipsticks and nearly purchased one of their contour palettes once, however, I was always distracted by other flashier displays and lower price points. I’ve nearly hit an on the two blushes in my stunning Charlotte Tilbury Natural Beauty Palette and I decided to opt for a more budget-friendly alternative. That’s when I came across the Nip+Fab Blusher Palette in 01 Blushed.
I picked up this palette in Superdrug where it’s currently reduced from £8.95 to £5.97, which, for four blushes (15.2g), seemed like a complete steal. There are two versions available; the ‘Brights’ selection is way more vibrant compared to the delicate pinks, soft corals and warm plums in ‘Blushed’.
The palette contains the shades Cocktail; a soft matte pink, Flamingo; a coral with a slight golden shimmer, Whisper; a nude/peach toned pink and Velvet; a warm dusky rose. They have a matte finish which isn’t chalky or powdery but velvety soft, almost like satin. The blushes do need to be built up, as they are quite subtle, but I much prefer this to an overly pigmented blush that can look patchy and be hard to blend. Cocktail and Velvet are my favourite combination. I gently dust over Velvet and then place a touch of Cocktail on top for a natural-looking pop of colour. I adore every shade in this palette, I can’t recommend it highly enough for pale skin tones. They last well throughout the day and, even though they do require a little more blending than my more high-end blushes, this palette is amazing quality for the price. I’ve found myself reaching for this palette every day and I’m now curious at what other products in the Nip+Fab makeup collection has to offer…
The Nip+Fab Blusher Palette in Blushed retails for £8.95 and is available at the official Nip+Fab website here, alternatively, it can often be found on offer at Look Fantastic, Feel Unique, HQHair and Superdrug.1
