Three Must-Have Makeup Palettes Under £10 at Superdrug

The Highend Dupe

I know that the beauty community is divided when it comes to dupes, especially when everything down to the name, layout and formula is replicated, however, the Revolution’s Ultra Eye Contour Light & Shade Palette (£8) is a basic everyday palette that’s easy to use. Yes, it’s not exactly the same quality as my Kat Von D palette; the shades are dustier, the light shades are slightly less pigmented and the darker shades are a touch patchier, however, the new talc-free formula is incredibly soft and easy to blend. If you don’t mind building each shade and really working at your blending, this is a brilliant dupe. This is one of the best Makeup Revolution palettes I’ve ever tried and while it’s not quite up to the standards of KVD, it’s very close and considering it’s a quarter of the price you can’t can’t complain.

The Cheeky Chappy

Ever since I hit pan on the two blushes in my Charlotte Tilbury Natural Beauty Palette (here) I’ve been reaching for the Nip+Fab Makeup Blusher Palette in Blushed (£8.95). The palette consists of four matte shades that feel velvety soft. They blend out effortlessly and are incredibly flattering for pale skin tones. Check out all four shades swatched here.

The Glow-Getter

I actually use the Lottie London Shimmer Squad Highlighter Quad (£9.95) more than my Anastasia Beverly Hills Sugar Glow palette. Each shade is easy to blend and buildable depending on what look you want to achieve. This palette caters to both those looking to add a natural luminosity to the skin and those wanting that blinding Instagram glow. I wish the shades were a touch cooler and they are a little on the glittery side but I can forgive this as the texture is super soft and buttery and the colour payoff is seriously impressive (swatches available here).
