What do they say? Never work with children or animals? Although I love it when I get a blogging opportunity that includes Penny, it without a doubt makes putting the actual post together ten times harder! If she doesn’t like the toy, you can read it all across her face and when she does? Well, you try and take a decent photo of an excitable baby running around likes she’s had three red bulls laughing her head off at with her new walker when your nine months pregnant! We were very kindly sent the Little Tikes Light ‘n Go 3-in-1 Activity Walker and Penny’s had great fun testing it out for our new arrival – only 10 days to go (hopefully) until her little sister gets to try it too!
The Little Tikes Light ‘n Go 3-in-1 Activity Walker (£39.99) is suitable for ages 9 months to 3 years. It has three play modes: it’s a walker, standing activity table, and sit & play activity centre all in one. It’s a great little investment, especially if you have more than one child as it provides hours of fun for years to come! It’s also available in green, orange and blue instead of pink. Finding the right walker can be tricky, but I’ve always found Little Tikes to be brand you can trust. Their toys are virtually indestructible!
The walker is full of interactive gadgets and gizmos to stimulate all your baby’s senses. It features 70 activities, songs and sounds. In its walker setting, the dome in the centre projects multicoloured lights on the floor up to 8 feet away to encourage baby to walk. Penny loves putting her baby doll on a blanket in front of it and watch the lights dance around on her tummy.
There are flipping books, a spinning drum, spinning ball, animal clickers, keyboard keys and gears that turn, all of which help to develop your child’s fine motor skills and, well, are lot’s of fun! The buttons play melodies, jungle animal sounds or say shapes and colours depending on which setting you select. Don’t worry, there are also three volume settings too.
The walker also folds down for easy storage, just click the yellow keys at the side. This is incredibly easy to do but secure enough that it requires an adult so there’s no risk of little fingers being caught. It can fold down into an activity table or all the way down so babies can join in the fun too. It was relatively simple to build. The only difficulty we had was that one of the wheels appeared to be locked but a quick search on Google explained that we hadn’t set it into the walking position correctly. It also comes with batteries, Little Tikes are all about making parents lives as stress-free as possible.
The Little Tikes Light ‘n Go range includes a number of toys to inspire your baby to get moving. Check out the full collection here.
