Can you actually believe the weather we’ve been having recently? This may have been the worst summer ever to be heavily pregnant, however, even I can appreciate the glorious sunshine we’ve been experiencing. I don’t want to be a Debbie Downer, but it’s more important than ever to stay hydrated, protected, and, of course, to make sure that you’re topped up on setting spray, icy treats and BBQ essentials; especially if you have a young family.
Zero Water are on a mission to keep families hydrated this summer with the 12-Cup Water Filter Jug*. It’s the first of its kind to benefit from a sealed lid and reservoir which allows filtered water to be poured while water which hasn’t yet been filtered remains in the reservoir. This adds a further 2 cups of capacity to the 10 cups of filtered water in the jug. It also features a one-handed, pull and pour button spout for easy pouring from the fridge or for filling bottles.
Unlike other leading water filter jugs, ZeroWater benefits from a patented, 5-stage Ion Exchange Filtration system which removes 99.6% of all dissolved solids, which may include minerals, salts, metals, chemicals and runoff to produce the pure tasting drinking water. It’s certified to reduce Lead, Chromium, & Mercury. In the box, you get the original 12-Cup Ready-Pour pitcher, Zerowater Ion Exchange water filter, a TDS (total dissolved solids) meter that provides a digital measurement of dissolved solids in your water (a £24.99 retail value) and pamphlet. How long your filter will last depends on the contaminate level of your water, that’s why the metre comes in handy…
This summer we’ve gone through many, many, many bottles of suncream including the fun but rather expensive Evy Technology Sunscreen Mousse to the more affordable family-friendly offerings from Altruist Dermatologist and Solero which I highly recommend. Penny has also loved wearing the adorable turquoise and fuchsia Agrimonia Smock Romper from La Coqueta. The bold floral design and butterfly sleeves are just as sweet as the little lady wearing it. The leg holes are elasticated to ensure a comfortable fit and there are buttons between the legs to ensure easy nappy access. The romper is made in Spain and from 100% cotton, however, it’s very lightweight and perfect for the warmer weather.
As well as using high-quality suncare products, this summer LloydsPharmacy give the following advice about how you can stay safe in the sun and get the best protection from your sunscreen:
I really hope you are making the most out of this glorious weather as much as we are, but please remember to stay safe this summer!
