Back in January, I signed up to Influenster and received the Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Eye Crayon VoxBox (here). Influenster is an online community where members share product reviews and also have the opportunity to join campaigns and receive beauty products in the form of a themed VoxBox. Simply create an account, fill in a few surveys (mostly about your social media presence) and wait until you’re selected. If Influenster thinks you’re a good match, you’ll be invited to fill in yet another short survey and if you meet the criteria you will hopefully be sent a box of goodies. This is only the second box I’ve ever received and, to be completely honest, I forgot that I had signed up in the first place.
Influenster is clear from the very start that you are required to share your photos and honest review of the products on their App and across your social media once you’ve finished trialing them. They also insist that you disclose on all posts that you received the products as a complimentary gift. They are very concerned with transparency and, as a consumer and blogger, I really appreciate this way of operating.
I was sent the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day (PhD) Dry Shampoo (92ml) which retails from £10. It’s powered by Living Proof’s patented Healthy Hair Molecule (OFPMA) and Triple-Action Cleaning Technology. Admittedly, its more expensive than I’d ever considering paying for dry shampoo, especially when the COLAB Original Dry Shampoo retails for just £3.49, however, even I can admit that this is the best dry shampoo I have ever used. It doesn’t add any powdery residue or white cast; it feels weightless and silicone-free. As I frequently dye my hair at home, I try to wash it as little as possible to preserve the vibrancy of the colour and this product has been a dream come true.
It absorbs and removes oil, sweat and odour whilst delivering a time-released fragrance that’s clean and fresh. Perfect Hair Day instantly gives you that just-been washed volume and bounce without overloading your hair with product. I will definitely be purchasing this along with other products in the Perfect Hair Day (PhD) collection as pregnancy has caused havoc with my hair and it’s desperately in need of some TLC.
