Sorry to be annoying, but I have to talk about this palette, even though I know it’s incredibly difficult to track down. I came across the Models Own Rock ‘N’ Rosy Blusher Palette for only £3.99 at TK Maxx. I understand the beauty section at TK Maxx can be very hit or miss, however, I’ve been incredibly lucky after discovering a branch that actually takes pride in its displays and is always fully stocked with a plethora of wonderful brands and hidden gems. I love their collection of K-Beauty skincare and the Pearlescent Rose Water Facial Mist (a Herbivore dupe) has come in very handy this summer too…
I don’t have much experience with Models Own although I have tried a few of their products in beauty boxes over the years. The range is currently available on their official website and at Feel Unique. It looks like the palette has been discontinued, however, Models Own still sell individual ‘Rock ‘N’ Rosy’ blushes in similar packaging and a contour palette which looks almost identical. The palette contains two peach powders (Treacle & Tropical) and one vibrant coral (Tangelo) with a cream formula.
Treacle and Tropical are my favourite shades. They don’t feel overly chalky and blend beautifully. They both give such a pretty flush of colour to the cheeks that instantly transports me back to our glorious heatwave this summer. Tangelo is way too pigmented for my liking. It reminds me of the blush in my Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette. A pretty colour that looks nice on paper but is way too intense and therefore difficult to blend. You have to go in incredibly lightly otherwise you will look rather clown-esque. The other two matte shades, however, have been my go-to blushers since I purchased them and for only £3.99 I’m delighted with my latest TK Maxx find.
