Roccabox X Carly Musleh Review

July’s box, that I recently won in a Twitter giveaway, contains six products handpicked by Carly Musleh including skincare, haircare and makeup gems. Carly is a professional makeup artist and the founder and editor of Beauty Sauce. She has used her 12 years experience in the beauty industry to select a bundle of goodies, two of which are full sized.

PCA Skin Revitalising Mask – This isn’t a brand I’m familiar with but it’s one of Carly’s favourite skincare treats. It’s an exfoliating and brightening enzyme mask Infused with Papaya, Honey, Vitamin E and Green Tea Extract. The high-quality mask promises to effectively rid the skin of dead cells and reduce visible discolouration while removing bacteria and reversing the signs of environmental damage.

Dr Paw Paw Original Balm (RRP £6.95) – Contains a blend of natural ingredients, including Paw Paw (a natural healing remedy), olive oil and Aloe Vera. The multi-purpose formula can solve all your beauty dilemmas at a moments notice. The balm can be used as a lip balm, a hair conditioner, a cuticle and nail treatment, a makeup primer, a soothing sunburn reliever, a moisturiser, a cracked heel treatment, an unruly eyebrow tamer – the possibilities are endless! No wonder this little yellow tube is quickly becoming a bit of a cult classic in the beauty industry.

Pureology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner – I love that this box contains both the shampoo and conditioner so you can get a better feel for the collection. This duo is perfect for travelling with. The products are vegan, sulfate-free, colour-preserving and deeply hydrating.

Pixi Beauty Lash Line Ink Liquid Eyeliner (RRP £12) – This is undoubtedly the product I’m most excited to try. Who doesn’t love Pixi? Granted, I have more experience with their skincare collection but their pencil eyeliners are my absolute favourite. They are so creamy and pigmented – I definitely recommend you check them out. I’m looking forward to finding out how this liquid version compares.

Bare Minerals Gen Nude Patent Lip Lacquer – The final product is a tiny tube from the bareMinerals Gen Nude range, a collection I’ve been wanting to try ever since reading about it over at lauralouisebeauty.com. I’m glad we’re starting to leave drying matte lipstick formulas in the past and this high-shine alternative promises to deliver full coverage, hydrating colour in a range of flattering and chic shades.

What do you think of the products in July’s Roccobox? I’m seriously impressed considering the eyeliner alone retails for £12 and I know that I’m going to get a lot of use out of it. I love the idea of beauty industry experts selecting the products but still keeping to an affordable price tag. The packaging is simple but really pretty and there are three different subscription packages available. Prices start at £10 a month plus £3.95 P&P which is very reasonable compared to similar brands and the value of the box’s contents.
