My creased forehead has always been the feature I dislike most about my appearance. I love any excuse to wear a huge woolly hat so I can pull it over my face as low as possible to disguise it. The thought of Botox has always appealed to me but I’m terrified of needles, plus I’m definitely not in the position to pay £200-£350 per session. There are many non-invasive treatments on the market that claim to achieve the same results as Botox at a fraction of the cost, such as the award-winning peptide enriched Snoxin II serum from Indeed Laboratories (£24.99 | 30ml).
“Snoxin II™ is a supercharged serum developed with XEP-018™, a clinically proven biomimetic peptide that minimizes muscle contractions to instantly soften the appearance of dynamic lines and wrinkles. Using high dosage peptides, it delivers both instant and long-term results including smoother and more even textured skin, maximum moisture retention and improved elasticity. This serum is a safer, milder and more affordable alternative to needles and plastic surgery”
Indeed Labs recommend that you apply the serum to cleansed skin every morning and evening. The cloudy gel sinks easily into the skin without leaving any stickiness and instantly makes skin feel softer. It isn’t overly scented or drying. Indeed Labs claim you will see visible results appearing within 2 hours and lasting up to 8 hours. There are three key ingredients in Snoxin II, however, a full list can be found on their US website here…
“XEP-018™: A biomimetic peptide that blocks signals sent from the brain to the facial muscles to contract and relax the muscles instantly. As the peptide accumulates, this actively provides both instant and lasting effects as it continuously works to help skin repair itself by allowing new collagen to grow and mature, thus increasing skin elasticity.
MATRIXYL SYNTHE’6™: A powerful peptide that boosts six skin-building essentials: collagen I, collagen III, collagen IV, fibronectin, hyaluronic acid and laminin 5.
PERFECTIONPEPTIDE P3™: Speeds up cell renewal by helping the skin’s natural exfoliation process. By revealing new skin cells, this active works to refine skin texture, reduce wrinkle depth and provide deep hydration, resulting in fresher, more vibrant skin.”
I’ve been using the serum for a couple of months now and have noticed a slight difference in the depth of my smile lines and a smoother appearance to the creasing under my eyes. I have yet to see any visible improvements with regards to my forehead, which is disappointing. My skin does look fresher and plumper overall but I saw very similar results with my Matrixyl 10% + HA from The Ordinary which is less than half the price.
