As much as I adore stocking fillers, you can’t deny how jaw-dropping beautiful these high-end treats are. If you’re looking to indulge in some premium skincare and makeup this year, I’ve got you covered. Today’s post includes everything from coveted face palettes, makeup vaults, complexion gadgets and luxurious skincare pearls that contain extracts of caviar.
Even though you’ll find many products from high street brands both on my dressing table and inside my makeup bag, skincare is one area I don’t mind investing in. As I approach my 30th birthday, I find myself spending that little bit more on products that include premium ingredients and formulas that contain the latest anti-aging technology. I was recently introduced to the brand SkinPearls*, which is unlike any brand I’ve tried before.
SkinPearls condenses your routine into convenient unit-dose ‘pearls’ which are designed to address specific skincare needs. Each Pearl contains the perfect amount of product to provide full coverage which eliminates any waste. Simply crush the pearl into the palm of your hand and apply it directly to your face, massaging it in until fully absorbed. Each tiny jar contains a months supply so they are also incredibly convenient to travel with.
Their Anti-Aging Skincare Bundle is designed to fight the visible signs of ageing by eliminating fine lines, improving the appearance of dark spots and illuminating lacklustre skin. The bundle contains four products: Eye Caviar Pearls, Anti-Aging Pearls, Daily Protection SPF 30 Moisturising Caviar Pearls and Overnight Facial Caviar Pearls. Together they provide a complete skincare regime, which when I think about all the skincare products I currently own and their collective value, this is very impressive. The pearls contain revolutionary Peptides, botanical extracts, caviar extracts and precious Pearl. You can read a full list of the ingredients here. Each bundle targets specific skin types and conditions such as mature, sensitive, dry and acne-prone skin.
As well as SkinPearls, there are currently three other skincare brands on my wishlist this Christmas. Drunk Elephant is probably the most hyped US brand to make it’s way to the UK in years. Now available at Cult Beauty and Space NK, Drunk Elephant was created by Tiffany Masterson who wanted to create a skincare line free from the “Suspicious 6” (Essential Oils, Drying Alcohols, Silicones, Chemical Screens, Fragrance/Dyes and SLS). The Littles contains the Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser, Lala Retro Whipped Cream, Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil, C-Firma Day Serum, T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Night Serum, B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum and Shaba Complex Eye Serum. Basically every product I’ve ever wanted to try from the brand, apart from the infamous T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial which is unavailable due to UK ingredient regulations.
I’ve wanted to try Sunday Riley, particularly their range of cult facial oils, for over a year now but I’ve yet to take the plunge. The Sunday Riley Vault Kit contains all of their bestselling products including the Luna Sleeping Night Oil, C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum and Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream. It’s basically skincare heaven in one unbelievably extravagant kit.
The original FOREO facial cleansing brush is one of the most recognisable skincare gadgets on the planet, however, thanks to Laura’s review at LauraLouiseBeauty.co.uk, it’s their new UFO Smart Mask Treatment I’m most intrigued by. It combines their collection of Korean inspired sheet masks with sonic pulsations and blue light technology.
Finally, three luxe makeup gifts that have caught my eye this Christmas are the limited edition Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Volume 4, Cover FX Glam & Glow Liquid Lights Vault and the Stila All Eyes On You Liquid Eye Shadow Vault. Anyone, as obsessed with makeup and skincare as I am, would undoubtedly appreciate any one of these luxurious treats under their Christmas tree this year.
