Personally, I find shopping for ‘his’ Christmas gift, whether that be my dad, husband, brother or even granddad it really doesn’t matter, to be the most frustrating. I usually leave it till last because they never give me any inkling to what they’d like which results in them receiving the three ‘s’ – socks, sweets and smellies. I’ve already spoken about a few gifts that would appeal to the men in your life such as this selection of non-fiction books and The Summerton Club Premium Spirits Subscription Service, however, I’ve got another bundle of goodies to share with you today and a whole heap of inspiration to help you out if you’re struggling this Christmas…
Cheesy Christmas Jumpers make the perfect novelty gift for absolutely everyone and are sure to put a smile on his face – the uglier the better! Truffle Shuffle has a huge selection to chose from and even has Batman, Spiderman and Jurrasic Park themed ones if you’re looking for one a little less flashy and over-the-top. As well as jumpers they have a wide selection of gift ideas perfect for telly addicts and movie buffs. My husband is a complete geek and proud of it, so I usually head to my local comic book store in search for a new limited edition Pop! Vinyl collectable. Forbidden Planet also has a large range of graphic novels, action figures, clothing and accessories but I urge you to shop locally if possible.
Ryman is probably most well known for their stationery and office supplies, but did you know they have a Christmas Shop too? I was surprised to find out that Ryman has a wide selection of gadgets such as retro games consoles and kitchen appliances as well as experience days, personalised mugs and remote control toys, plus a selection of puzzles and board games including Harry Potter and Walking Dead Trivial Pursuit, Deadpool Monopoly and Game of Thrones Cluedo.
I’ve put this board game in my ‘for him’ gift guide but I think it’s kind of badass and I’d love to find this under the tree too. They also have Big Bang Theory Cluedo which I didn’t even know existed and looks hilarious. Cluedo is the perfect game for all the family to enjoy in Christmas day and I love this new twist. Finally, if you’re looking for an aftershave I can’t recommend Sauvage by Dior highly enough. It’s both spicy and woody without being too overpowering.
What gifts have you bought your dad, brother and partners this Christmas?
