Dry shampoo is this girl’s best friend. I have thick, coloured hair and it’s an absolute nightmare to wash and I try to do it as little as possible. Throughout the years I’ve relied on Batiste which has done the job well enough but it’s not without its drawbacks so I’m definitely glad there are more options available. COLAB is an award-winning, cruelty-free dry shampoo created by a team of beauty insiders, including international blogger Ruth Crilly. They have a celebrity following which includes Little Mix and are quickly becoming an Instagram sensation…
What most appealed to me about the COLAB Dry Shampoo is that absorbs oil without leaving a white residue which means I can fake the appearance of effortlessly fresh hair and still keep my colour looking vibrant. There is a wide range of fragrances available including the Original (rose & bergamot), Tropical (papaya & pineapple), Good Vibes (sweet apple, orange blossom, raspberry & sandalwood) and Unicorn (plum & vanilla). They have also collaborated with fashion brands such as Missguided and Hype. The ‘Mermaid’ fragrance contains notes of citrus, orange flower and patchouli and ‘Grl Pwr’ is scented with citrus, berries and sandalwood. Both give me volume and absorb oil whilst giving the illusion of bouncy, freshly washed hair without leaving a chalky texture or white cast that leaves your colour looking dull. I hate when I don’t blend my dry shampoo in probably and I’m left with white streaks and patches, there’s no chance of this with COLAB Dry Shampoos.
Also, can we talk about how cute the packaging? A can of dry shampoo has always been something to throw into your handbag, but COLAB has made products made to be displayed and admired and at only £3.50 each I actually find myself wanting to collect them all. After a quick search online, I have noticed a few travel-sized cans floating around Amazon and eBay but I really hope they make mini versions of all their bestselling fragrances soon.
