As I patiently wait for my latest ColourPop order to arrive (you’ve got to love free international shipping promos) I dived into my beloved Super Shock Shadow collection and relighted my love for the collection. The Super Shock Shadow formula is a highly-pigmented, creme-powder eyeshadow with a unique bouncy texture. It’s like putty or memory foam when you press your finger into it and feels almost damp.
Unfortunately, during my latest swatching session, I had to throw out quite a few of my matte shades. To be fair, they were a few years old and destined for the bin. I was sad to see a few go as they were recent purchases, however, it’s recommended that you place the lid back on very tightly after use as they have a tendency to dry out and I guess this is what happened. Each pan contains 2.1g of product and retail for $5 each…
As you can already tell, I’m a sucker for a neutral/gold/metallic eyeshadow. I apologise that my collection is pretty boring. ColourPop also has a stunning range of vibrant gem-toned, holographic and pastel shades that I’m hoping to dip into this year too. As well as Super Shock Shadows, ColourPop also has a collection of pressed powder palettes such as ‘Yes, Please!’ and Dream Street, and a range of beautiful liquid eyeshadows. If you have any questions about shipping to the UK, I’ve answered most of them in my previous post, ‘What was Inside my ColourPop Mystery Bag’, available to read here.
What’s your favourite shade?
