I have to admit, I’m always using lotions, gloves, polishes and even masks on my hands but I often neglect my poor tootsies. I tend to associate foot creams with my gran’s bunions and never thought to add one to my daily routine, however, as we continue to enjoy this sizzling summer and reach for all the cute sandals, wedges and slides – it makes sense that we should be looking after our feet too. No one wants to put on their favourite strappy sandals that have been hibernating all winter for dry, rough and hard skin to steal the show.
Thankfully, one of my favourite nail polish experts, Leighton Denny, now has a fast-acting softening foot balm to use alongside their beautiful line of nail polishes, such as their SS19 Wanderlust Collection. Sole Rescue is an effective treatment that quickly breaks down the hard outer skin on the base of your foot and any unsightly dry patches. The balm contains Urea (hydrates and locks in moisture), Lactic Acid (gently exfoliates and breaks down dead skin) and Shea Butter (boots collagen and elasticity) which all work in harmony to restore a smooth silky finish to your feet. It sinks in easily and it feels really relaxing as you massage it in, plus it has a light peppermint fragrance that’s lovely and refreshing.
A foot cream might not be the most exciting purchase you’ll make all year but if you want youthful-looking, soft feet perfectly prepped for summer, then you can’t go wrong with Sole Rescue. My feet have never felt so silky smooth! Think about all the discomfort we put our feet through on a daily basis; standing for hours during your commute, relentlessly running after the children all day, cramming them in to cute but incredibly painful heels or confining them to tightly-tied sweaty gym trainers; let’s face it your feet could probably benefit from a good pamper!
The Leighton Denny Sole Rescue Softening Foor Balm retails for £12/75ml and is currently available at Feel Unique.
