I do love my kitchen gadgets, so I was in my element when I was recently sent the Easiyo Yogurt Maker along with two packets from their new Greek Style collection. You might have seen my unboxing on my Instagram stories over the weekend, if not you can rewatch them here on my highlights. I received the large version in pink which makes 1Kg of homemade yogurt, but there is also a compact maker that makes 500g available on Amazon as well as a range of different colours.
It couldn’t be easier to make homemade, ready-to-eat yogurt at home with EasiYo. Simply fill your Easiyo jar with room temperature water (15C-20C), pour in your chosen mixture, close lid and shake. Then add more water until the jar is filled 5mm from the top and shake again. Then push the red spacer inside to the bottom of the maker and pop in your mixture, close the lid and wait 8-12 hours. There’s no moving parts or electronics. Preparation takes minutes and 8 hours may sound like a long time to wait, but simply leave it overnight and wake up to a delicious breakfast the whole family can enjoy, or keep it in the container and take it to work and enjoy on your commute. Plus, because EasiYo is made fresh in the home, there are no artificial colours or flavours and no gums or thickeners. It’s also gluten-free and vegetarian. EasiYo also has a new Greek Style collection which includes Black Cherry, Blueberry, Apricot, Strawberry, Lemon and Strawberry and Banana.
I can definitely see the benefits of using EasiYo. It’s incredibly easy to use, reduces the waste of single-use pots and plastic, plus the yogurt tastes incredible. I basically sat and ate the entire banana mixture in one go. It was thick, creamy and reminded me of the dream topping my gran used to put on the top of her homemade trifle, but fresher, sweeter and with a subtle but delicious taste of banana. It was seriously yummy. I was a little taken back by how expensive the mixtures are, for example, their Banana mixture retails for £3 a pack at EasiYo’s official online store here, however, there are value packs available at both Amazon and QVC which are around £20 for a pack of 8. I’m very tempted to order more of the banana as I’ve been craving it all week and try their creme brulee flavour too.
The EasiYo Pink Yogurt Maker retails for £16.75 and is available to purchase here.4
