Mother’s Day is fast approaching (March 27th) and thanks to Boots Photo I already have the perfect present wrapped up and ready to put a smile on her face. Although you can never underestimate the power of a bunch of flowers and a box of chocolates (as a mum myself, this is one cliche I’m more than happy to participate in) there’s something nothing more special, heartwarming, and thoughtful than a personalised gift, especially when it captures images and memories of your favorite people.
I’m lucky enough to have two beautiful girls of my own and they love nothing better than to pose in front of the camera, especially my eldest Penny. Together we created a photo book for their Nanna full of their beautiful little faces and images of our trip to Manchester last year. The thought of creating a book from scratch might seem daunting but, honestly, it really didn’t take long at all thanks to Boots Photo. I simply downloaded the App to my phone and uploaded all our photos on the sofa in between making a cuppa and watching Encanto for the 11th time that day.
First, decide on the size (prices start from £28.99) and whether you want a soft or hardcover. Each choice you make updates the price as you go and it’s incredibly easy to go back and alter your decisions throughout the process. You then select your photos and start to edit the format of your book. I chose a front cover with metallic rose gold highlights which really gives it a professional-looking touch. You then move on to selecting an appropriate layout and colour scheme (again all of which is customisable, however, there are pre-prepared templates available if you’re feeling overwhelmed). You can alter the position of photos and add text boxes depending on how much detail you’d like to include. You can put as much effort and personlisation in as you wish and it’s the delivered straight to your door in a matter of days. A beautiful keepsake created all on your phone without so much as having to lift your bum from the sofa.
As well as photo books you can order traditional prints, wall art, greeting cards, postcards, calendars, photo mugs, phone cases and even jigsaw puzzles. I absolutely love my phone case. It fits perfectly and the image is so clear and detailed.
A personalised gift is a perfect way to treat the mother figure in your life this Mother’s Day. Never has there been a more important time to let those you love know just how much they mean to you. A photo can truly say a thousand words.
